Starting up....winding down. Winding down a stage that has included living overseas, two moves (soon to be three), one, two and now nearly three children (November!), lots of dreams, a vision coming into place, thoughts of a novel, several life transitions. Starting up: more dreams, the middle part of a novel, life in our own place, a renewed connection with the living earth, lots of work directed at our physical space, helping young girls enjoy a transition from heading to the park, to playing in the yard, to exploring the fields, minding the thistles, discovering the mystical underground stream and playing with frogs.
Charles is out at the house, doing the physical work he loves, helping prepare it for our arrival next week. We are doing the minimum (electricity and plumbing, with a little paint, too!) and the rest will fall into place eventually. We have a home day today, with packing, some writing, playing, figuring out how to put back into boxes those things that have emerged from other boxes less than a year ago. A good day.
Yesterday at the house we saw gardens of thistles. Strong, tall, thorny. With a burst of purple at the top. Thistles to burn your toes. The fields are no place to be in sundresses and sandals, not now. Perhaps in December. A little thistle research has already shown that they will be something to be reckoned with.

Je vous souhaite vraiment beaucoup de bonheur avec toute votre petite famille au milieu de ce petit paradis.
Gros bisous à vous tous.
