I have been meaning to write for a while now on little things. The last few weeks have been quite full, with work, preparing for school, home projects. And in the midst of all this, little things.
The garden spiders up by the old silo.
The tiny toads captured (if only for a minute) on the driveway.
Our first crop of raspberries from the wild raspberry patch we discovered up next to the overgrown garden.
We had no fruit in the house, so I asked the girls to go up and pick some raspberries to put on their oatmeal....our harvest has since improved, to about half a pint every other day.
And a bigger little thing....hoola hoops! Our daughter goes to a Waldorf school, where hoola hooping with homemade hoola hoops has been all the rage since school opened a few weeks ago. So we made some of our own. The hoola hoops below are made from 3/4 inch water tubing from the home improvement store, filled with water (who knew?) and joined with a simple plastic joint. You can also use duct tape.
Little things are nice.
